If he loses his metal legs on the run, he can always crawl himself to victory!

Richard Whitehead. He won some medals at the London Paralympics, and I think one was Gold.

Amazing picture...
but on a side note... why is Adidas sponsoring this? I find it ironic but I am really curious.

I Know How You Feel
If You Had Seen The Ease With Which He Flew Down The Road On Those Things At Mile Nineteen
God It Was Amazing. Hes The One With No Knee Joints That Rotates His Hips And Swings The Blades Out Wide.
There Is Obviously A Certain Amount Of Momentum Gained From The Spring Effect Of The Carbon Fibre Blades
And Then Theres Less Muscle To Fatigue And A Smaller Circulation As Well. Don't Get Me Wrong It's A Fantastic Achievement But I Do Think That In The years To Come With Advances In The Technologies Of The Blades And Materials These Guys Will End Up Competing In A Section Of There Own At Major Events As It Will Be Discovered That They Do Indeed Have An Advantage Over Able Bodied Runners.

Always amazes me to see something like this being accomplished! Makes me believe that we can truly do anything as human beings if we just put our minds to it.

I saw a guy like this, with the legs, in the olympics. I believe he ran the 400 meter dash, or perhaps it was a medium distance relay of some kind. Is it the same guy here I wonder?

Whatever the case, fantastic capture, that deserves to be seen by all the world.
